Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.
Every week I will have a blog post on what is currently on my radar, an extension of my newsletter for those that are interested. This is just a place where my thoughts will go, interesting shows we have watched, cool podcast episodes, books – anything + everything. Not having social media has been so freeing and I love being able to put all of these things into one place rather than into a 24 hour expiring story.
I hope you have an amazing weekend!
Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi – I have heard about this novel from a few people now and I just added it to my list. Yaa Gyasi’s extraordinary novel illuminates slavery’s troubled legacy both for those who were taken and those who stayed—and shows how the memory of captivity has been inscribed on the soul of our nation.
Clearly I am 12 years old at heart because I think this moon ring is pretty freaking hilarious as a Father’s Day gift….
On second thought, I’m thinking this may be the best Father’s Day gift ever?
A great pair of workout shorts for a fraction of the Lululemon price. I personally love shorts that have this type of waistband and the dolphin hem (where it goes up on the sides).
Have any of you ever tried this insect bite tool? It applies heat to the area and is supposed to stop the itching?! I am skeptical but curious…..
