Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.
Today’s blog post is on winter layers for moms. If you are looking for my blog post on winter layers for kids, you can head here! I love to go outdoors with the kids even when it’s cold but I will be honest when I say that it’s harder and harder to get warm out there with my older age! We got season passes for skiing/snowboarding this year so I will be all layered up for those weekends! We are excited!
Base layer: I love this top which includes a built in balaclava, I wear it while running in the winter! This gaitor top is also a good choice. OR 100% merino wool top + bottoms
For anything from Athleta – try the code: HELLOATH20 for 20% off $150!
Mid layer: For this layer I put on fleece. You can put on a fleece top AND bottoms
For bottoms I would put on these polartec altitude tights or these peak hybrid fleece pants! I have owned both of these for a few years and they’re great.
or just wear the fleece top depending on how cold it is outside!
Outer layer: A great quality snow jacket and snow pants (both in white) is my preference. You could also do a one piece if that’s your thing!
Accessories:
Neck warmer (black)
