Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.
You may remember our community giving project from years prior and the families that we have helped. You can check them out here.
There are so many people in need right now and I want to be able to come together with all of you to help. I will be adding families as they finish their Amazon wish lists so please bookmark this page and revisit 🙂
Once the item is purchased, it disappears off the list so you won’t see what’s already been purchased!
1.) The Kepler Family
Robin Kepler, husband and father of 5, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August of this year. After receiving two treatments and an emergency surgery to fix complications, it was found that the cancer spread too far into his liver and bones. He is now at home in hospice care. This list is a way to give a little bit of Christmas to Robin’s wife and two daughters (15 and 18) still living at home as they care for Robin.
2.) The Albert Family
We are a large family of 7 with 5 beautiful children and our fur baby Julie. We live in a small 3 bedroom trailer. I have recently had some financial issues and we are trying to find a way to help the kids have a Christmas. Against all odds and efforts we just found out we are pregnant with baby number 6 and while we are excited, we are very unprepared. I don’t think I could have anymore children. I am in need of a Christmas for my children and a few things for this pregnancy and some essentials. Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Love and light ❤️
3.) Rebecca (name kept anonymous for safety purposes)
This family has been through it all. Leaving a terrible domestic violence situation to starting over from scratch. She has fought hard and now has a place to call her own for herself and kids. I would love to help her put some stockings and a few gifts together for her and the kids. I can’t attach a picture for safety reasons.

4.) Paul + Jackie
This wish list is for my mom & dad. They have suffered greatly with my dad’s stage 3T4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma cancer diagnosis early in 2023. We almost lost him on November 1, 2023. He spent almost two weeks in ICU and was given a feeding tube. He has to focus on healing and gaining weight from his incredible loss of weight due to his treatment. Although some of these items may seem “extra”, my parents struggle to treat themselves. They are in need of items to help him recover and to update some of their older items that they deserve. My mom is a retired nurse and my dad a crane operator. Prior to my dad’s diagnosis he was a foodie and enjoyed cooking. They have worked tirelessly and deserve the moon, I would do more for them if I could. I would love for them to have something else to make them smile, and make this recovery period easier on them. We are so blessed to have my dad here to be with us this holiday season, thank you for your donation- it means more than you’d ever know.

5.) Anonymous Single Mother
“Hi everyone! I’m a single mom of two beautiful children, one is 7 & the other is five. Recently we left a DV situation and left everything behind and are starting over this Christmas season together. These are some essentials my littles could really use, and a couple of toys they added to their Christmas lists. I appreciate you all taking time to help my family. Bless you all đź’ś
6.) The McMahon Family
“Hi Lindsay , I am nominating my daughter Lindsay for help this holiday season. My daughter is 38 and was diagnosed on February 22nd with Breast Cancer that had spread. She found the lump herself and was poo pood a bit as she was breastfeeding her 9 month old son. All our lives took a turn that day as she is Her2+ er-pr- so has an aggressive cancer , had 6 rounds of chemo with targeted therapy on august 25th had double mastectomy with lymph node removal. She still has targeted therapy until March and has to have reconstructive surgery in the future and starts radiation November 9th. She works with little children and she can no longer work. Her husband is in and out of work due to her needs. They need a boost this holiday season. Thank you, Susan“
“My name is Lindsay McMahon. I’m a mother, wife, teacher, and breast cancer warrior. To say this year has been challenging would be and understatement. On February 22, 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer that required immediate and urgent treatment that is still ongoing. At 38 years old with a baby at home, this news was devastating. Since my diagnose I have gone through fertility treatment, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, radiation, and another surgery on the horizon. I have not been able to work since my diagnose which has greatly impacted my family. I want more than anything to give my son, who was only 9 months old at the time of my diagnose, a wonderful fulfilling holiday season while I still battle this disease. My husband has worked so hard to provide for us financially, but our finances have taken a huge hit. We are so appreciative of this opportunity and thank you all for your love and support!
The McMahon Family.

7.) Ayla + her family
“My cousin and her 3 children have not had a “normal” Christmas in 3 years! Her eldest (8years old) had a bone marrow transplant last March and they have had to remain isolated as she recovers from that and her immune system builds up. Thankfully all is going well health wise, but I just want them to have a traditional Christmas without worrying about hospital stays. Just pure magic! To top it off, the two youngest have birthdays in December, so it’s a tough month for her, budget wise. I hope to alleviate some of that for her. Thank you for your time. “

8.) The Kuan Family
The Kuan Family has had a difficult year with Kang’s heart attack and the subsequent rehabilitation and life changes required. Help make Christmas a little brighter for them, with a focus on Megan who has been keeping her family afloat (financially, emotionally, etc.) for months now. Thank you!
