Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.

Hello, everyone! I’m glad you’ve joined me on my third episode in my leaving social media series. I’ve talked at length about the reason that I left social media and I’ve heard from many of you that feel the same way. This wasn’t something I decided to do without strategic planning, and I want to share exactly how I did that so you can do it too. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
People often say that social media is where we connect and have interactions with each other. The truth is, sending a ‘like’ is very different from sending a text message or calling someone. There are so many more ways we can exchange information and communicate without the fast-paced apps like Instagram.
The thought of leaving social media when you are an influencer comes with even greater fear and uncertainty, especially if it’s your primary source of income. This is why it is so important to have a plan in place and prepare your business outside of social media. I’m here to tell you that although there will likely be financial effects, the benefits outweigh that loss.
