Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.
I promised this Trader Joe’s Meal Plan Ideas post a few weeks (maybe months) ago! I also included a printable shopping list so that you can make your life just a tiny bit easier. I know how hard it is to get to the grocery store with or without little ones so I hope this helps! There really is nothing I dread more than a day out to the grocery store. Our nearest Trader Joe’s is about 40 minutes away and it takes up an entire morning to just grab groceries and go home. The worst part is that I frequently forget 22880 things and need to go back the very next day. I swear that grocery shopping is equivalent to a drunken night out. You barely remember anything that happens when you’re walking through the damn store and you end up coming home with some special edition sparkle cereal and yummy fruit pops instead of something that can actually make a healthy meal. Thanks to so many of you on my Instagram stories for telling me about your favorite items and meals from Trader Joe’s! I’ve tried every single one of these meals and I can attest to their deliciousness.

This is one of my favorite ways to start off the day. For breakfast, a little yogurt with probiotics, fruit and peanut butter protein granola! This granola is seriously the most amazing granola in the world. I promise you’ll be addicted. Many of you have asked about the daily harvest smoothies. I love them but I only order about 6 of them every two weeks since I feel like I don’t need them more often than that, plus they are a bit pricey! My favorite combination is the strawberry/banana with the oats.
I love these ideas! The orange chicken from TJ’s is a go to for us. I have to cut out dairy while nursing since my 8 week old can’t tolerate it and Trader Joe’s has a LOT of options, especially totally vegan, that I can have!
Thank you!!!!!
I love TJ’s but I always get so lost wandering around picking up anything and everything with no plan. This is extremely helpful!
Love TJ’s! Some things I always have in my kitchen from there are:
– Bruschetta Sauce, Burrata cheese, and Avocados on toast or sliced Italian bread.
– Frozen roasted corn – use with everything, soups chili’s etc
– Frozen Edemame Fried Rice – so healthy and my 2yr old loves it
– Frozen Spanakopita – easy and so yummy
Thank you for this. I shop at trader Joe’s every week, but this gave me a few more ideas to add into my repertoire. I know this must have been time-consuming. I also love seeing other readers comment about what they buy from TJ’s.
I love this post and am always curious what other people’s TJs go-to items are! I always stock the orange chicken and frozen jasmin rice. I love the seasonal harvest salad in a bag topped with the roasted chicken strips or frozen breaded chicken. I love your idea of the pulled pork over sweet potatoes- I’ll have to try that next. I also just discovered their gyro meat…I bought it with the Mediterranean flatbreads and tzaziki and can’t wait to try it:)
My family LOVES the veggie fried rice! Had it for dinner tonight actually . I usually scramble an egg and toss it in or add salmon or chicken. We also love the frozen roasted corn, everything Crackers and cheddar rockets, the cowboy corn salsa and the artichoke bruschetta. Certainly the wide selection of treats (almond biscotti and specaloos cookies ) but my favorite indulgence is the cowboy bark….my pregnancy craving!
Somebody already mentioned and I want to second the frozen vegetable fried rice! And they also have coconut sauce which uses like soy sauce but is healthier. We sampled this combo in store and I immediately grabbed both!
One more thing that I LOVE from TJ’s is their Tuscano marinara, canned. Paired with gluten free pasta… yum!
And also their pre-packed salads in produce section. I like broccoli cole slaw and spinach mix.
You’re so amazing or posting this! Thank you for taking the time to do this for us!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!! Life saver today when I ran out without a shopping list. Had the pulled pork & sweet potatoes for dinner, yum!
