Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.
Talking about how to style a swing dress 5 ways in today’s post! I tried my swing dress on for you in yesterday’s Instagram stories and had so many DMs right away asking for different ways to style it that I just had to jump on the opportunity! I love styling items a few different ways to show their versatility. I love swing dresses because they are very forgiving (yet still cute), can be worn while pregnant, are comfortable & can be styled SO many different ways. I scored mine for $12 with code: STYLE at Old Navy! INSANELY cheap and I swear, you will LOVE this thing. I am 5’5 and I am wearing size small in the regular length BUT if you are taller than that, I suggest going with the “tall” option so that the length will work for you! Vice versa if you are petite 🙂
1.) Plain Jane | Wear it by itself without anything at all! I styled it with just booties and socks!
2.) Add Accessories | For this look I added a scarf, hat, & tights! Obviously with the cooler air rolling in, layers will be our best friend! You can always add your coat on top of this as well!
3.) Belt it & Add Over the Knee Boots | You can use a thin or wide belt here and add some over the knee boots! This would be a great cold weather option! I wear OTK socks with these boots because they stay up better that way 😉 You can use code: GM106146 for 40% off the boots!
4.) Add a cocoon cardigan & booties | If it’s chilly outside, add a pom hat, tights & scarf! This cocoon cardigan is from Target but it’s still not available online 🙁
5.) Style it with a sweater on top | An easy way to wear a swing dress is to layer it with a sweater on top! Cropped sweaters look really cute to because they can since the dress above the waist. Add OTK boots or ankle booties!
This sweater is 50% off if you have a Gap/Old Navy Card with code: FFCARD or 40% off if you do not have a card – code: HAPPY
I took these photos super quick outside our house yesterday and by the time we got to outfits 4 and 5, it was raining buckets out there so please excuse the extreme frizz and wet hair! Ha! The sunw was in and out and I have no idea where the rain storm came in but hey, you work with what you’ve got right?!
I would love to know which look is your favorite in the comments section below!
Love the first one and tHe cocoon cardigan one!!
Love them all really. The sweater on top and the cacoon sweater are ????????. Realky digging the booties with the socks peaking out too.
