Hello + welcome to this tiny space on the internet! I created this blog (+ changed the name twice since) 14 years ago as a creative outlet from my career in the emergency room as a PA. After spending the past 7 (or so) years on social media outlets, I have decided to delete all of the ones associated with this blog and get back to the heart of blogging.
So many of you have been requesting Maternity Style Ideas and I went through some of my bump update archives to show you some pieces that are still in stock, or at least similar pieces! I tried to stay away from “maternity clothing” because I found that it never fit right. The only exception to that was when there were maternity body cons, I loved those! I hunted for a pair of maternity shorts that I could love but unfortunately NEVER found any. I hated them all, so if you have a pair you love PLEASE let me know so that I can link them up here for you all!
HEIGHT/WEIGHT for REFERENCE: My Pregnancy Body was much different than it is now. With my third pregnancy I went from 122 lbs to 164 lbs. Most of these bump images were around 150-164 lbs. I am 5’5 for reference!
I absolutely ADORE this dress and it’s nursing friendly too! They don’t have this white one anymore but they have a GORGEOUS eyelet one! The back has a stretch band and I wore the band above the bump.
SIZING: I sized up 1 – I am wearing medium here at 9 months
One Shoulder Body Con Maternity Dress
The quality of this dress is on point and it’s marked down with an ADDITIONAL 20% off today! LOOOOOVE this brand and their dresses are the best. So many different ways you can wear their dresses. I linked some of my favorites here since they are all 20% off.
Maternity Jumpsuit/Rompers
I don’t know what it is about a belly in a romper, but I am a bit obsessed. This particular one is no longer in stock but I am linking a few other adorable ones below!
One of my FAVORITES during pregnancy was this bodycon dress and surprisingly enough, it’s NOT maternity!
SIZING: I sized up to a medium around the 7 month mark because the bump allows it to come up in the front! They have a ton of colors too!
I LOVE the way that this sweatshirt looks with a bump! They don’t have this exact style anymore but I linked the same brand! Same fit! I am wearing a size small here!
This maxi comes in about 40 different colors and styles, has a stretchy waistband for a bump even though it’s NON maternity and it also has buttons to make it nursing friendly. BONUS? It’s super affordable too! One of my favorite finds!
SIZING: I am wearing my typical size, small here!
Maternity Swimsuits
SO many DM’s from you guys recently asking me about maternity swimsuits! I searched the internet to find the best ones for you and linked them here:
LOVE this non maternity find. So cozy and yes pricey but WORTH it. You can also belt it (see below) and you can wear it long after pregnancy is over!
SIZING: Wearing size 1
Another example of a maternity body con dress (linked some earlier in this post)!
Overalls
What is cuter than a bump in overalls?! NADA. This image was from when I was pregnant with my first! See? Overalls never go out of style 😉 I linked some awesome maternity versions below:
Maternity Dresses for Photoshoots
Many mamas love to have photos done with their family before baby’s arrival so I linked up some of my favorite dresses for shoots below:
This is technically a cover-up but works wonderfully as a dress! I love it so much! I plan to wear it this summer to the beach as well
SIZING: Runs big, size down. If you are shorter than 5’4, may be too long on you! You could hem it!
same dress as above! the non maternity ruched dress!
Maternity Pajamas
I wore this nightshirt and the below pajama sets through all of pregnancy and now post partum. The most comfortable fabric. I highly suggest putting these on your registry if you have one! I absolutely love them! I wore a size medium but could have honestly wore small, they are very stretchy.
If you end up wearing any of these items, shoot me a picture on Instagram for a chance to be featured!
