My name is Lynzy and I am the editor behind Lynzy & Co. I created this blog over 8 years ago as a creative outlet to my job in the ER as a Physician Assistant (read more about that here). My husband and I live in Connecticut with our two daughters and one son! We also have three fur babies, including two rescue kitties and a rambunctious 1 year old German Shepherd. I love sarcasm and I will always tell you how it is. Honesty is something I take pretty seriously, so you will always know what I am thinking! This blog started out as a fashion blog, but has quickly changed into a life and style blog focusing on motherhood. I am very passionate about my life as a mother and I want to reflect that within my blog. If you are ever interested in a specific motherhood topic that you would like to be seen discussed here, shoot me an email. I would love to hear from you!
1.) How do I start my own blog?
Back when I started my blog in 2009, it was a different world than it is now. The blogging world is a bit oversaturated and to get your name out there, I believe that it’s very important to nail down your niche and then run with that. Build your specific community and engage with them as much as possible. For me, the community that I have has been such a blessing because it makes me feel less lonely during the long days of parenting and I also LOVE being able to help other moms whenever I can!
2.) What is your day to day job?
I work as an Emergency Room Physician Assistant! I’ve been at the same hospital since 2009 and I absolutely LOVE my job. I was full time for about 5 years and then once I had Olivia, I was per diem. It has allowed me the flexibility to stay at home part time with my children, but also be able to maintain my career that I worked so hard to achieve. I feel so blessed to be able to both maintain my career as a PA and also, as an influencer.
3.) How do you balance everything at home? Do you have child care?
When I work at the hospital, I usually work on days that my husband is home to watch the kids. For blogging, I create a 9-2 work day 2-3 times per week depending on my work load and we have an amazing nanny that comes to watch the girls during that time if they aren’t in school! We found her through care.com and I am still working on my blog post that will go into detail on questions to ask potential nannies/sitters!
4.) Weight? Height? General size in clothing? So that it is easier to gauge which size to buy 😉
I am 5’5 1/2 and 124 pounds (currently 137 pounds at 6 weeks postpartum). I usually wear size small in tops/dresses and size 2-4 in pants
5.) What is the #latenightnursingfeed?
I created the #latenightnursingfeed after my second child was born. The nights were long and I was extremely lonely at times so I wanted to create a space where moms could come during the night to chat about motherhood topics. I am currently hosting this feed on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights and you can come hang out on my Instagram feed around 9 pm EST to see the topic for that night!

6.) Where do you shop for your kids clothing?
There are so many places that I love to shop! I am a huge advocate for shopping smaller when I can, but I also love Old Navy, Gap, Zara, and H&M! For smaller shops I love: Honey Babe Clothing, Little Wedgies, Rylee & Cru, L’oved Baby and so many more!
Check some of them out here in this video!
7.) Favorite stores to shop for yourself?
This is also a hard one! I love LOFT, Abercrombie, Nordstrom, Gap, Old Navy, Madewell, VICI dolls (code: LYNZY20 for 20% off), and Zara!
8.) What is your go-to “mom” outfit?
A pair of my favorite leggings, loose tank, chunky cardigan, baseball cap and sneaks!
9.) Where is your name bar necklace from?
My necklace is from Made with Love by Mary and here are more details in this post!
10.) Photography. How do you edit your images? What camera do you use?
I used to be a Nikon girl, but recently switched over to Canon! I have a Canon Mark III and I LOVE it! I typically shoot with my 85 1.2 lens (or less frequently my 50 mm 1.4). I edit in Lightroom for my DSLR images. When I take images with my phone, I edit with VSCO and I typically edit with A5, A6 or C4! It totally depends on lighting, temperature and a few other things!
